Annual Meter Inspections to Begin

Annual Meter inspections for the Tri-Basin NRD will begin at the end of irrigation season. If you are in Union Township or any Township in Ranges 15, 19 & 24 your meters will be inspected this fall. If you have any questions please feel free to call the office at either 877-995-6688 or (308)995-6688.

Double Check Meters on Storm Damaged Pivots:

Storms that rolled through parts of Tri-Basin Natural Resources District in June and July caused damage to hundreds of center pivot irrigation systems. As local businesses work to get the equipment back up and running in a timely manner, we would like to remind you to make sure your irrigation flowmeter is reinstalled properly. Some of the crews working on irrigation equipment in the district may not be from the area and therefore would not be familiar with our rules and regulations regarding irrigation flowmeters. It is the landowner’s responsibility to make sure the flowmeters are reinstalled and functioning correctly.

It is also a good idea to note the meter reading before operating irrigation equipment that has been repaired. If we have that meter reading, it will be easier to reconcile any movement of the meter propeller when it was detached from the system. If you have questions about reinstalling your flowmeter or your meter readings, contact our office at 1-877-995-6688.
